Join us for a festive celebration at Koliada Winter Fest, hosted by the Ukrainian Cultural Center Toloka! Happening on December 21, 2024, at the Polish Home Association (1714 18th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122), this joyful event runs from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

    We believe in making the Koliada Winter Fest accessible to everyone while supporting our community. 

    Participation is $10 per person for adults and children aged 10 and older. 

    For Ukrainian refugees, the fee is a symbolic $1, primarily helping us estimate the number of attendees


    Your contribution helps us bring this festive celebration to life and support meaningful causes.

    CREATE YOUR OWN CHRISTMAS SPIDER!

    Discover the magical Christmas Spider, the most popular straw decoration in Ukraine. In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to make your very own spider and learn about its history and traditional significance.

    PAINT A WOODEN "SOROKLYN"

    2:20 PM - 2:50 PM

    Ukrainian egg decoration traditions are rich with intricate patterns unique to different regions. "Soroklyn" is a traditional geometric ornament found throughout Ukraine! In the first part, we will learn to divide wooden eggs into triangles, and then we will paint the wedges to create unique ornaments for your Christmas tree!

     PAINT A STAR ORNAMENT!

    3:10 PM - 3:40 PM

    With vibrant paints, simple wooden circles will transform into shining stars. We will learn to paint an eight-pointed star and then fill it with rich colors. If time allows, you can create a second ornament and unleash your creativity even more! No painting experience needed. Limited spots: 8 participants.

    MINI WORKSHOP: "PANYANKY"

    Ceremonial Cookies from Slobozhanshchyna!
    Meet "Panyanky"—ceremonial cookies baked for Christmas and gifted to carolers and godchildren. In this workshop, you will learn about the symbolism and purpose of these cookies, their history, and how to decorate them. You’ll take home your finished cookie (if you don’t eat it first)!
